TRANSFER OF CREDIT POLICY

The percentages of the transferable maximum units directed by BPPE are as follows:

  • Certificate and undergraduate Programs: 75% of total coursework
  • Master level Programs: 20% of total coursework
  • Doctoral level Programs: 45% of total coursework


CREDITS REQUIRED TO COMPLETE DEGREES

Required total semester units of each program for completion at the University are as follows:

  • B.A. Degree Program 120 Semester Units
  • M.A. Degree Program 48 Semester Units
  • M. Div. Degree Program 96 Semester Units
  • D. Min Degrees Program 48 Semester Units

REQUIREMENTS

1. Bachelor Degree Program Admissions Requirements:

In order to be admitted into the institution’s Bachelor degree program, the student must:

 Provide the institution with a completed application with a recent photo affixed.

 Submit proof of completion of a high school education, G.E.D. or equivalent education. Proof can be made by submission of official copies of transcripts of a high school diploma, G.E.D. or other equivalent high school completion. High School course work must evidence a G.P.A. of 2.0 or G.E.D. of satisfactory completion. Students who do not have a traditional high school education may be required to take an independently administered entrance test given by the school to determine adequate skills for entrance into the university.

 Submission of a statement of Christian faith.

 Submit two letters of recommendation attesting to their Christian maturity and character.

 Submit a non-refundable application fee of $100.

Admission will be done by reviewing all factors as a whole, not on one indicator only. Review will be finalized by the Admission Committee.

2. Master Degree Program Admissions Requirements:

In order to be admitted into the institution’s Master degree programs, the student must:

 Provide the institution with a completed application with a recent photo affixed.

 Demonstrate that they have completed a bachelor degree with a minimum grade average of 2.0 in all course work. Bachelor degrees must be earned from either colleges or universities that have been approved by an appropriate state agency. Bachelor degrees earned from institutions outside the U.S. will be evaluated using standards published by the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions officers for equivalency. Proof will be evidenced by submission of official copies of transcripts of all undergraduate work completed.

 Submit a statement of Christian faith.

 Submit two letters of recommendation attesting to their Christian maturity character.

 Submit a statement of around 200 words outlining their career and ministry objectives and how the attainment of the degree will facilitate these goals.

 Submit a non-refundable application fee of $100.

3. Doctoral Degree Admissions Requirements:

In order to be admitted into the institution’s doctoral degree program, the student must:

 Provide the institution with a completed application with a recent photo affixed.

 Prove three 3 years of full-time ministry experience after receiving the Master of Divinity Degree. Document of at least 2 years of full time ministry experience through attestation in a personal ministry statement. This statement must be submitted in typed double spaced format and must detail the applicant’s ministry experience, an assessment of their weaknesses and strengths and personal objectives for the program.

 Demonstrate that they have completed a Master degree with a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0 from either colleges or universities or institutions that have been approved by an appropriate state agency. Master degrees earned from institutions outside the U.S. will be evaluated using standards published by the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions officers for equivalency. Proof will be demonstrated by submission of official copies of transcripts of all graduate course work.

 Submit two letters of recommendation attesting to their Christian maturity and character from a clergy college, church official, professional and/or layperson. Additionally, if the student is married a statement from the student’s spouse may be required to demonstrate support for the course work.

 Submit transcripts from all previous graduate course work

 Complete a theological interview if the Admission Committee perceives that this is needed. The purpose of this will be to determine the student’s depth of basic Christian theology.

 Submit a non-refundable application fee of $100.
